Mechanical Engineering Experimental Center
The Center of Mechanical Engineering Experiment of Changzhou University mainly relies on the key discipline of Jiangsu Province and China Sinopec, Chemical Process Equipment,to face the school related field and serve the chemical process mechanical field of Jiangsu Province and China Sinopec.The center Actively carrys out scientific research and talent training.
The discipline and academic training center is founded in1978,which already has 30-year history.The undergraduate subject of the discipline is Process Equipment and Control Engineering,which is the national characteristic specialty construction point and the specialty of Jiangsu Province .Here also has the Jiangsu oil and gas wellhead equipment engineering technology research center and Changzhou University chemical process machinery center.
The master’s degree was received in 2003,and the engineering master’s degree was awarded in 2010.
Chemical Process Equipment discipline interpenetrates with Mechanical Engineering,Power Engineering, Fluid Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,Control Theory, Mechanics, Materials and other disciplines.The goal is to cultivate senior technical personnel in the petroleum chemical industry, mechanical engineering, process equipment and other aspects of the production, management, in order to promote the modernization of the production process, large-scale, automated service.
The main functions of the center:
(1) Through advanced scientific experiment,strengthen students' understanding of professional knowledge , strengthen students' practical ability, train students' ability of research, innovation and independent thinking ;
(2) Provide scientific and advanced experimental conditions for the teachers and students, to cultivate and create a high level of scientific research team, undertake and complete national,enterprise scientific research project;
(3) Provide open scientific experimental and test platform for the enterprises, universities and research institutes ;
The focus of center’s research :
(1)The technology and applications of fluid engineering ;
(2)Structural reliability and integrity of the process equipment;
(3)Heat Transfer and Mass Transfer Technology of Process Equipment Enhanced;
(4)Research and testing of the advanced chemical process equipment.
In recent five years , the number of research at all levels that the center undertook is 174.The total research funds is 18740000 yuan. Received 9 Provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards , 23 invention patents, 2 national key new products.The center actively carry out cooperation between the research and production,establish cooperation base and school-enterprise Cooperative Alliance with 25 medium-sized chemical process machinery manufacturing enterprise in the province.
The existing laboratory building area of the center is 1000 square meters,and will soon be moved to the new campus of Changzhou University.The area of the New Chemical Process Equipment Integrated Training Center will reach 2,000 square meters.The number of the existing laboratory instruments and equipment is 433 sets / pieces, worthing 10 million yuan, of which includes 14 sets of equipment over 10million yuan, worthing 4.54 million yuan in total. Built a number of advanced equipments such as 3D-LDV laser speed measurement system, wind tunnel experiment platform, the transformation of the mixing test, the compressor performance testing, heat exchanger performance test platform, the acquisition of Shimadzu fatigue testing machine, high-speed digital video camera, LabVIEW / CVI, three-dimensional laser Doppler velocimetry, particle size analysis,spectral analysis of iron, morphology analysis. The homemade experimental mixer,the test bench of stir received the incentives of the Ministry of Education and were promoted to the use in the other universities in the country.
The center has 23 experiment guiding teachers including 5 full-time , and 17 part-time .Of the 23 teachers, there are twelve people with high titles, six people with subtropical high title, five people with intermediate title.
